As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a dynamic team of Design, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Engineers. Your role will be pivotal in driving innovation, ensuring efficient processes, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this position:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Team Leadership: Inspire and guide your team to achieve project goals.
- Collaboration: Foster a positive and productive team environment.
- Hands-On Approach: Lead by example and actively contribute to projects alongside your team.
- Technical Expertise:
- Metalworking Experience: Your understanding of metalworking processes will be essential for successful project execution.
- Autodesk Inventor: Proficiency in using Autodesk Inventor for design and modeling.
- Blueprint Reading and Measurement Skills: Ability to interpret blueprints and accurately measure components.
- Innovation and Problem-Solving:
- Thinking Outside the Box: Encourage creative solutions and innovative approaches.
- Automation and Robotics: Leverage automation and robotics to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Lean Manufacturing: Apply lean principles to streamline processes and reduce waste.
- Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
- CMM Knowledge: Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and interpreting measurement data.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the engineering process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (advanced degrees are advantageous).
- Proven experience in engineering roles, with a track record of successful project management.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Passion for hands-on work and a commitment to achieving results.
