Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in the development of cutting-edge aerospace products for government and defense markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace engineering, proven leadership skills, and a track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects from conception through production.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and technical staff. Develop and implement engineering strategies, goals, and objectives aligned with company goals.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time,
within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure
project success.
- Manage project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure the application of best engineering practices and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in engineering processes and products.
- Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with customers, government agencies, and defense contractors to understand requirements and ensure
product specifications meet or exceed expectations.
- Present technical information and project updates to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Manage engineering budgets, resources, and equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in aerospace engineering, with leadership experience.
- Proven experience in managing complex aerospace projects, preferably for government or defense clients.
- Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
