The Robot Data Platform team at Zoox plays a crucial role in ingesting our vehicle data into our data lake and having it easily accessible for various downstream data processing needs.
The Opportunity
Are you excited to manage our Robot Data Platform team, which builds the infrastructure, services, and tools that manage our lifecycle of vehicle data? You will be responsible for ingesting, validating, processing, and serving several hundreds of petabytes of vehicle data for various downstream needs, such as assembling training datasets, building simulation workloads, etc. You will work across diverse teams, including our AI, Firmware, QA, Data Science, and Release management teams, to understand the nature of data flowing through our systems and the requirements of data consumers and push the boundaries of how we make data-driven decisions at Zoox.
We build and operate the data ingestion and validation pipelines, a custom storage format optimized for our business use cases, and tools for ensuring data is easily discoverable with fine-grained access control and data retention policies. You will manage a team of software engineers and act as a force multiplier for our internal customers. This team has many growth opportunities as we expand our robotaxi fleets and venture into new ML domains.
