Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Engineering Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, a passion for woodworking, and a proven track record of managing teams to deliver exceptional results. As the Engineering Manager, you will lead our engineering department, oversee project development, and ensure the successful execution of custom millwork projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the engineering team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging professional development and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations of team members.
Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of custom millwork projects from concept to completion.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful and timely project completion.
Engineering & Design:
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on engineering solutions and millwork designs.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and prototypes.
- Ensure all engineering practices comply with industry standards and regulations.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in engineering and millwork technology.
Qualifications:
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
•Strong knowledge of custom millwork processes, materials, and techniques.
•Demonstrated experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Microvellum).
