Summary: Engineering Manager sought with a focus on new product development, process improvement, and technical leadership in the aerospace manufacturing sector.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field.

Minimum of ten years' experience in aerospace or related industry.

At least three years in a supervisory role managing 10+ engineers.

Proficient computer skills in design programs and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experienced in turning, milling, EDM machines programming.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
-
US Citizenship required due to ITAR regulations.

Ability to oversee multiple projects with effective delegation and minimal interference.

Demonstrated motivation, leadership, and team-building skills.
Job Responsibilities:
-
Direct and monitor technical activities of assigned engineers.

Review and approve manufacturing processes as necessary.

Ensure manufacturability while meeting customer quality/delivery requirements and internal goals.

Oversee all technical aspects of new products including concurrent engineering with customers for design/process enhancements.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, VSM, design review events to increase efficiency and profitability while reducing lead time/costs.

Resolve complex technical issues through research; recommend product development/design alterations for improved quality/producibility.

Provide direction/leadership for the development of cost-effective manufacturing processes conducive to ease of manufacture.

Recommend machine tool/equipment needs for enhanced process capabilities/capacity; initiate corrective actions to address processing/manufacturing problems.

Conduct supplier plant visits to ensure compliance with company/customer requirements; oversee product/key characteristic audits as required by customers; support personnel training on shop floor as necessary; develop market awareness/promote company visibility; evaluate/train/coach/discipline employees; support EH&S requirements within the facility; assist Program Managers in contract negotiations/review/approval; foster team environment; lead investigations into customer quality concerns/product escapes; maintain technological awareness within core company processes.
Pay Details: $140,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year
