We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team within our fast-paced food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing various engineering projects, working closely with team members, and ensuring the successful completion of all projects. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and a keen eye for detail. With a focus on continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and project management, the Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing our operational efficiency and overall business performance.
Responsibilities:
1. Direct and oversee the engineering team, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Implement and drive continuous improvement projects to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
3. Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate defects in our manufacturing processes.
4. Lead CAPEX projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
5. Develop and implement lean manufacturing strategies to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
6. Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring all processes align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
7. Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration, providing guidance and leadership to the engineering team.
8. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to realize these opportunities.
9. Liaise with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of projects and alignment with business objectives.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in project management, including managing budgets and schedules.
4. Strong knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
5. Excellent operations management skills, with a focus on optimizing efficiency and productivity.
6. Proven experience in managing CAPEX projects.
7. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement innovative solutions.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
10. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
