Engineering Manager Position Overview:
The Engineering Manager shoulders a range of critical responsibilities, central to fostering seamless collaboration across various business functions within a team-oriented environment. In this pivotal role, you will lead our engineering team, driving the development of manufacturing processes, tooling design, and fixture creation. Moreover, you'll champion Lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring optimal production outcomes and resolving product quality issues swiftly and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead process enhancement endeavors to bolster quality standards and drive cost efficiencies.
- Provide visionary leadership to direct reports, setting clear priorities, establishing accountabilities, and judiciously allocating resources to ensure the attainment of performance objectives.
- Cultivate a versatile team of professionals committed to lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement, navigating a high-volume, fast-paced, and safety-centric work environment equipped with cutting-edge manufacturing, inspection, and plating technologies.
- Lead the charge on continuous improvement initiatives, constantly scouting for innovative technologies spanning equipment, processes, and best practices.
- Identify Key Process Variables (KPVs) for manufacturing processes and devise robust control plans and methodologies.
- Chart departmental goals, objectives, and action plans meticulously aligned with organizational targets and timelines.
Key Characteristics:
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in engineering, coupled with over a decade of hands-on experience in manufacturing settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in employing disciplined engineering methodologies to navigate intricate technical challenges.
- Proven track record in directly managing engineering teams within manufacturing environments, showcasing consistent high-performance outcomes.
- In-depth familiarity with thermal manufacturing processes, spanning both manual and automated equipment.
- Proficiency in Glass to Metal Sealing (GTMS) techniques and High Temperature Co-fired Ceramics (HTCC), underscoring a comprehensive grasp of advanced manufacturing technologies.
