As a Permanent Engineering Maintenance Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where your expertise is valued and your leadership is essential. This role involves overseeing the engineering maintenance team and ensuring that all machinery and equipment are in top-notch condition. You will be responsible for implementing continuous improvement strategies, lean manufacturing techniques, and preventative maintenance programs. You will also have the chance to work with advanced tools and technologies such as PLC programming and injection molding. This position requires a highly skilled individual with a strong background in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and lead the engineering maintenance team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
2. Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize maintenance processes and procedures.
3. Utilize lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and increase productivity.
4. Program and troubleshoot PLC systems to maintain optimal machine performance.
5. Conduct regular mechanical maintenance and repairs to ensure machinery and equipment are in excellent working condition.
6. Apply knowledge of injection molding processes to improve product quality and production efficiency.
7. Develop and implement a robust preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
8. Foster a culture of kaizen, encouraging team members to continuously seek out opportunities for improvement.
9. Coordinate with other departments to ensure maintenance activities align with production schedules and quality standards.
10. Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and develop corrective actions.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role in the engineering industry.
3. Proven experience with continuous improvement strategies and lean manufacturing techniques.
4. Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
5. Solid understanding of mechanical maintenance procedures and practices.
6. Experience with injection molding processes and machinery.
7. Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing preventative maintenance programs.
8. Strong knowledge of kaizen principles and practices.
9. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
10. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
13. Proficient in using computer software and applications related to maintenance management and engineering design.
