Position Summary: This internship opportunity initially involves supporting the integration of large, custom robotic welding systems including mechanical and electrical assembly. Exemplary candidates will have the opportunity to advance into Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or Applications Engineering departments. Note: Candidates must be enrolled in school to qualify for this position.

- Experience in mechanical and electrical assembly
- Interest in interpreting electrical and mechanical prints
- Experience with hand and machine tools: drills, wrenches, screw drivers, band saws, mills, and lathes
- Basic SolidWorks modeling
- Familiarity with GMAW, GTAW welding and plasma cutting processes
- Foreign language skills desired, particularly; Spanish, Portuguese or Chinese

- Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the intern is regularly required to walk and sit. The intern frequently is required to talk or hear. The intern is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle; or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and see and distinguish colors on electrical components. The intern must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. There is extensive use of a computer, and at times work can be sedentary.
- Work environment: Normal office environment and work on the manufacturing floor. While performing the duties of the position, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme heat, and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
