HQ Aero is currently recruiting for ENGINEERING INTERNS in BRIDGEPORT, WV
Responsibilities:
As an Engineering Intern, you will be required to:
- Review engine build and disassembly processes for compliance with the technical publications.
- Review tooling used for assembly and disassembly processes for compliance to company standards.
- Review blueprints for in-house designed tooling and preparing reports for review of the tooling staff engineering team.
- Assist the engineers with development of substantiation packages detailing the outcome of tooling reviews.
- Present to site leadership on project status.
- Assist with procurement of new tooling.
- Currently enrolled in Junior or Senior year towards obtaining an Engineering degree (Mechanical and/or Aerospace field preferred).
- Prior experience reading mechanical blueprints preferred.
- Prior experience working with machine tooling for aerospace or automotive assemble preferred.
- Prior machine shop or metal working experience preferred.
- Local Candidates preferred.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.
- Contract, part time (20 hours per week)
- Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance. Must be a highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to multi-task.
- Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.
- Work Environment : Aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.
