Time: Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm
Contract: 0-3 Months
Payrate: 29.50/hr.
Responsibilities:
Industrial Electrician – With experience in 3-phase, 240/480V, and industrial troubleshooting experience to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment and fixtures, using hand, power, and precision measuring tools. The Electrician diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. The Electrician is responsible for the connection of wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Comply with OSHA safety and health rules. Responsible for observing and following all safety regulations with required PPE.
What we’ll get you doing:
• Perform a variety of skilled work in the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment’s; prioritize, schedule, assign and coordinate the work of assigned staff to accomplish a wide variety of duties related to the production equipment’s.
• perform troubleshooting to repair or replace fans and motors; perform repairs to motors, bells and lighting circuits and to communication and audio-visual equipment.
• Estimate cost of labor and materials for work orders; obtain competitive prices for equipment and supplies needed by operations.
The essential requirements of the role include:
• Education and Training: High School Graduation or equivalent and completion of an approved apprenticeship program; or equivalent
• Experience: Two years of post-apprenticeship experience performing, equipment maintenance, control and protective system troubleshooting and maintenance in an industrial, utility, and/or manufacturing environment.
• Acceptable Substitutions: Apprenticeship Standards may be substituted for completion of a recognized Electrician Apprenticeship program or equivalent. These areas include commercial and industrial wiring, intercom and signals, controls, underground work, trouble shooting, finishing and fixture hanging, solid state controls, and stock and inventory.
• Good computer skills (Microsoft products)
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• Preventative maintenance best practices (CMMS)
