Engineering/GIS Support Specialist - Selectek, Inc.

Selectek is looking for An Engineering/GIS Support Specialist responsible for creating scripts to assist in the automation of tasks and maintaining GIS Datasets.
Required:

• Working knowledge Python, SQL, and Visual Basic
• Efficient problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Access)
• Knowledge of Google suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Presentations, Forms).
• Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening
• Good organization, time management and prioritization

Recommended Qualifications:

• Knowledge in GIS mapping software such as ESRI ArcMap and AutoCAD
• Knowledge in maintaining spatial data and attribute manipulation

• Understanding government mandated construction requirements
• Research publicly available data for feasibility studies
• Creating and maintaining large geodatabases
• Combine data in geospatial format for analysis
• Create/update automation scripts to assist in repetitive tasks
• Ingest and update local streetview data
• Develop new scripts to tackle procedurally developed network design
• The ability to learn and understand new fiber-optic architectural design
