The Opportunity...

As a Director, Software Engineer - Platform Development, you will lead and inspire a team of talented software engineers to build and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance platform solutions. You will play a critical role in driving innovation and ensuring the success of our platform initiatives.

How You'll Contribute...

• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of software engineers. Define and execute the platform development roadmap, aligning with overall business objectives. Ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of the platform. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Team Management: Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team of software engineers. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment. Provide mentorship and coaching to team members. Manage team performance and address any challenges.
• Platform Development: Design, architect, and implement scalable and resilient platform components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate platform solutions. Optimize platform performance and ensure high availability. Drive innovation and continuous improvement of the platform.
• Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, product management, and engineering teams. Manage expectations and deliver on commitments. Collaborate with other teams to ensure alignment and integration.

What We're Looking For...

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of building and scaling high-performance platforms.
• Strong technical skills in programming languages, data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Experience with marketing technology.
• Experience with voice technology (i.e. Twilio).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence.
