About the Job
The Engineering Aide performs operational tests on highly complex electronic developmental and production components, subassemblies and systems involving a working-knowledge of electrical theory, instrumentation, measurement techniques and electronic circuit analysis. Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Support rework on assemblies and/or systems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and operate a wide variety of standard test equipment consisting of multiples of generators, oscilloscopes, amplifiers, etc. and complex test equipment especially connected and set up for tests on subassemblies and systems in accordance with available instructions and specifications.
- Complies with a variety of documents including test specifications, wiring diagrams, schematics, etc. and make necessary recommendation for edit or change in test procedures and specifications.
- Verifies and analyzes test results. Troubleshoots, repairs and adjusts equipment so that their performance complies with test requirements, and that the quality of the product is assured. Determines when rework is necessary to ensure product compliance with specifications.
- Prepares technical reports, summarizes findings and recommends solutions to technical problems.
- Engage as a partner and mentor to peer technicians.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- 2 years working experience in Electronics Technology
Preferred:
- Associates Degree or Technical Degree in Electrical Technology
- Military Electronic Schools or equivalent electronic training
- Security Clearance or willingness to undergo security clearance screening
- Experience in defense or aerospace industry
- 3+ years experience in electronics in a manufacturing environment or in the military.
- Experience tuning RF circuits
- Should be able to setup and know how to operate a Phase Network Analyzer (PNA) or Vector Network Analyzer (VNA).
Salary Range: $21.28 - $23.70 hourly. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
