Engineering Aide - PGS Worldwide

PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a skilled Engineering Aide to support ongoing projects for an Aerospace leader in Archbald, PA. This is an initial 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity and I will respond immediately to all qualified candidates.

Job Description:

• Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
• Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).
• Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data.
• Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports.
• May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

Requirements:

• Associates Degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology, avionics discipline required.
• Secret clearance required.
• Military training/combined experience in electronics field.
• Combined degree and experience preferred.
• Ability to read Engineering Drawings (1-2 years’ experience).
• Data Acquisition (1-2 years’ experience).
• Electronic Testing (1-2 years’ experience).
• Read Electrical Schematics (1-2 years’ experience).

Desired:

• Wiring harness Design.
• Writing proposals and reports.
