The primary focus of the Engineer - Tool Design is responsible for creating and maintaining tooling drawings, creating material master records (MMR), checking tooling drawings into wind-chill workspace, promoting drawings to SAP system, and problem-solving tooling issues in production. Additionally, responsible for creating bill of materials (BOMs) for tooling and change management of SAP tooling BOM's as well as creation and maintenance of Production Resource Tool (PRT) to support tooling management.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Drafting of hot forging tools drawing documentation arising from production plan and forging line products.
- Carrying out changes in drawing documentation acc. to change control system under the impulse of technological improvements in production process
- Carrying out check and release of drawings for tool and product design worker who ensures his substitutability.
- Provides expert assistance for tooling manufacturer and confirms usability or uselessness of forging tooling in case of production deviations from drawing parameters.
- Changes in drawing documentation on technologist or bearing designer request in case that systematic error occurs.
- Work with design and assistance programs implemented and used in the company (PRO E / CREO, AutoCad, SAP EP1….)
- Other activities in accordance with activities description current status in tooling design substitutability matrix.
Your Qualifications
- BS degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (preferred), related degree, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance measurement systems
- Significant production engineering background
- Willingness to travel (domestic & international)
- Experience with design of forging tools and auxiliary devices
- Experience with vertical press technology is a plus
