Responsibilities:
- Participation in gated test reviews.
- Working with design engineers to work testing and operability features during the design phase of new systems/equipment.
- Develop Test processes for integrated testing.
- Developing test methods to efficiently complete integrated system testing.
- Supporting development testing to reduce program risk.
- Developing procedures and software automation that will be used in launch operations.
- Writing test procedures and managing procedural redlines and updates during test campaigns.
- Acting as test engineer with overall responsibility for the test, the crew, and the procedure. Enforcing safety policies during test planning and operations.
- Troubleshooting issues that come up during testing.
- Reducing, analyzing, and archiving test data to support verification tasks.
- Create verification plans.
- Mentor other test engineers.
- Strong focus on test safety.
- Transitioning the planning documents and procedures into an operational environment for test execution.
- Support on-vehicle and subassembly off-vehicle test execution.
- Author common-use procedures for operation of Ground Support Equipment test panels and consoles.
Specific Job Duties Include:
- Execute Integrated Vehicle Systems Testing on vehicle
- Execute subassembly and manifold testing off-vehicle
- Commission, maintain, and track Ground Support Equipment and Temporary Test Hardware
- Author work orders for part cleaning, transport, assembly, and off-vehicle testing
- Operate Ground Support Equipment for commodity conditioning and sampling
Skills/Experience/Expectations:
- Minimum 2 years relevant engineering experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of organization
- Attention to detail and able to execute repetitive tasks accurately and safely
- Experience with Hydraulics and/or Pneumatic Systems
- Ability to read and understand work orders and schematics to determine component type and connection needs for adapting to temp hardware
- Ability to obtain fall protection certification and work/test at height
- Nominal/Normal shift will be first shift, but must be able to work long hours and multiple shifts (including weekends) as required to support test operations
