We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineer Technician to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. This position is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to leverage their expertise in Geotechnical Engineering. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing technical support to our engineering team, troubleshooting issues, and developing innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
Responsibilities:
As a Engineer Technician, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Assisting in the design, testing, and analysis of various geotechnical projects, including foundation design, slope stability, and soil mechanics.
2. Conducting field investigations and collecting data for geotechnical analysis and design.
3. Collaborating with the engineering team to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
4. Providing technical support to the engineering team, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
5. Preparing technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
6. Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in geotechnical engineering and applying this knowledge to your work.
7. Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Engineer Technician position, the candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, theories, and practices.
4. Proficiency in using geotechnical software such as GeoStudio, Plaxis, or equivalent.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and concisely.
7. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
8. A valid driver’s license as some travel to field sites may be required.
9. ACI, ICC certifications (concrete field testing, reinforced concrete)
