Engineer Sr - Systems - General Dynamics Electric Boat

Overview

EB Facilities & Real Estate is in search of a seasoned engineer with experience in industrial manufacturing and building systems. The Senior Facilities Engineer will provide project planning and management for all aspects of facility construction, modernization, repair, equipment procurement, and other related projects as assigned. Reporting to the Supervisor of Facilities Engineering, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a well-rounded engineering, construction, or facility maintenance background and a passion for the installation and maintaining of complex facility infrastructure.

Applicant must be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple facility projects and tasks of varying degrees of complexity. Ideally, the applicant will be familiar with one or more of the following: Building MEP Systems, Civil Construction, Electrical Distribution Systems, or Industrial Gases.

Applicant must be safety focused, preferably with an existing OSHA 1926 10-hour Certification.

This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.

Qualifications

Required:

• Associates Degree in Engineering or higher or a Professional License at Master Level
• 4 plus years of facility management, construction management or relevant experience 
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defense

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Field or Construction/Facility Management
• 8 years relevant industry experience
