Position Overview:

AP Recruiters is seeking a Transmission Line Principal Engineer to join our client's innovative Engineering & Construction team. This role presents a unique opportunity to lead the design management of transmission projects, focusing on renewable energy initiatives such as Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage. The Transmission Line Principal Engineer will oversee the design process from early stages through construction and commissioning, collaborating closely with engineering consultants and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the design of transmission generation tie lines and standalone transmission projects.
• Coordinate with Early Stage Project Managers to define project scope and requirements.
• Secure engineering consulting resources and manage bidding and evaluation processes.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to secure routes and necessary permits.
• Develop engineering deliverables for competitive proposals and project execution.
• Represent Engineering & Construction interests in project meetings and presentations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 7+ years of direct experience in HV transmission line projects.
• Strong knowledge of transmission design principles and industry standards.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Ability to travel within North America as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP and/or P.E. certification.
• Proficiency with PLSCADD, AutoCAD, Primavera.
• Experience with renewable energy projects.
