Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced NOC (Network Operations Center) Engineer to join our team. The NOC Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the observability of our network and systems infrastructure through continuous monitoring, ticket management, and troubleshooting. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
Responsibilities
- Eyes-on-Glass Observability:
- Conduct real-time monitoring of network systems, applications, and services to maintain observability and identify potential issues or anomalies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of network resources.
- Ticket Management and Troubleshooting:
- Receive, prioritize, and respond to tickets generated by observability systems or reported by end-users.
- Perform thorough troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve network/systems-related issues in a timely manner.
- Escalation Management:
- Collaborate with internal teams, third-party vendors, and carriers to escalate and resolve complex issues beyond the scope of initial troubleshooting.
- Ensure timely escalation of critical incidents and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate resolution.
- Observability Tool Administration:
- Manage and administer observability tools, with a primary focus on Logic Monitor, to ensure accurate and reliable monitoring of network devices, systems, and applications.
- Configure, customize, and optimize observability tool settings to enhance visibility and align with organizational requirements.
- Dashboard and Report Creation:
- Utilize Logic Monitor to create insightful dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into network performance, trends, and anomalies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and visualizations to facilitate informed decision-making and proactive problem resolution.
- Vendor Ticket Follow-Up:
- Maintain regular communication with vendors and service providers to follow up on trouble tickets, track resolution progress, and ensure satisfactory resolution of issues.
- Advocate for timely and effective vendor support to minimize downtime and mitigate business impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in a NOC or similar role, with a focus on observability, ticket management, and troubleshooting.
- Strong proficiency in administering observability tools, with specific experience in Logic Monitor highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are a plus.

Salary Information:$79,584.00-$133,895.00 / Annually
