We are currently searching for a talented Engineer II to join and grow with our Highway Design team!
SEH's Highway Design Team keeps their eyes and minds on the road – their solutions impact how we travel across our highways and roadways. You will be part of an award-winning team which designs innovative solutions for traffic and corridor enhancements, and bridge and interchange designs using the latest technology. From the initial stages of the project of surveying and right-a-away acquisition to stakeholder engagement through complex design, environmental work and construction – you’ll find yourself immersed in life-lasting projects that get us where we need to go safely and efficiently.

This Opportunity:
- Opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects under engineers who are experts in their fields

- Typical projects may include roadways, intersections, roundabouts, bridges, trails, transportation planning studies, environmental reviews, 3D modeling, storm sewer design, traffic signal design, and hydraulic design for county, state, and federal clients
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience with highway, roadway, traffic engineering projects
- Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc. Occasional overnight travel will be required
- Basic skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar civil design software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant municipal street design and construction administration experience
- Strong ability to work in a team environment
- Experience in highway design and construction of MNDOT projects
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of InRoads, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), Geopak, AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software design packages

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $32 and $43 per hour based on skill set and experience.
