Description:
What we’re looking for Our Client’s TMNA Plastics Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Process Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead Plastics’ PE preproduction activities (Part, Equipment and Processing) at the NAMC to ensure successful launch of new product at our manufacturing facilities.
Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Plastics department's objective to develop and insure competitive manufacturing processes for the NAMC’s.
What you’ll be doing
Assist in the development of specifications for plastic injection processes to support Our Client’s North American Region which support quality improvement, as well as cost and lead time reduction activities.
Managing New Model Plastics Parts both individually and trough indirect management of a team of Engineers, SEIBI, and NAMC members to support pre-production activities.
Provide Mentorship and Technical Leadership for Seibi Technicians.
Lead process development projects at Our Client facilities throughout North America.
Post SOP/installation monitoring of equipment to ensure sustainability of production KPI’s to help us build better RJ so next project can be better.
Collaborate across section, department, NAMC, to assure sustainable product throughout the life of the vehicle
Drive kaizen, innovation, and the Our Client Way philosophy with a lead by example approach in your daily activities.
Travel Requirements:
What percentage or how often? 50%
Where will they need to travel? NAMs
If International, to/from which countries? US, MX, Canada
Will it be for meetings/observation? For work and work VISA is required.
How soon after the offer will they be required to travel? 6 months (2 weeks travel and 1 week rest)
