Responsibilities
As an Enforcement Economist, you will:
- Provide expert advice to attorneys; support and participates in drafting discovery requests; help select, work with, and support external testifying expert witnesses; and provide testimony in support of the CFPB's cases, as appropriate.
- Develop and present budget recommendations to support analyses and research plans.
- Independently identify potential problems in consumer financial markets and anticipate the need for economic knowledge and plans accordingly.
- Conduct independent research related to consumer financial law and collaborate with economists in other offices in the CFPB.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
