Who You Are: We are looking for a technical person with excellent communication skills and the ability to actively engage various stakeholders to participate in local energy efficiency incentive programs. You are a high-energy, self-starter with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills. Your excellent project and time management skills make you a productive and autonomous worker.
Additional qualifications include:
- Advanced degrees or great experience preferred; bachelor’s degree required
- Five or more years of experience in the energy efficiency field
- Experience analyzing energy systems and quantifying annual energy savings
- Industrial or commercial energy efficiency experience
- Working knowledge of commercial and industrial mechanical systems and building science
- Ability to break down complex data sets to conduct root analysis and present meaningful observations by applying data visualization tools
- Excellent writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills
What You'll Do: The Mid-Senior Energy Engineer is responsible for working with industrial clients to identify projects to reduce energy usage, quantify energy savings, and help determine eligible incentives for clients. This includes a lot of problem-solving, collaboration, and interaction with customers. This work-from-home position requires boots on the ground in Southern Idaho. This engineer will work closely with two other Energy 350 engineers in Boise.
A typical day may include:
- Conducting energy efficiency studies in the commercial and industrial sectors
- Retro-commissioning/building optimization
- Working with commercial and industrial customers to scope and develop energy efficiency projects
- Working with mechanical and controls contractors to scope commercial HVAC-related energy efficiency projects and communicating utility incentive program requirements
- Energy Engineering / Energy Analysis
- Conducting on-site Measurement & Verification of energy savings
- Writing technical reports for non-technical audiences
- Working in a dynamic, challenging, and collaborative environment
This position is located in southern Idaho. The employee will work from a home office to serve industrial and commercial sites for local utility programs. Relocation assistance will be provided.
