Energy Engineer / Energy Efficiency Engineer / Energy Assessments
Located in Oak Brook, IL. 60523
Duration: 1-2 years possible temp to perm hire
Up to 4 years of experience in the Energy Efficiency field which includes performing energy assessments for commercial & industrial customers as well as reviewing energy efficiency projects that are submitted for incentive.
2-4+ years of Energy Efficiency experience:
To include, but not limited to:
Performing energy assessments for Commercial & Industrial customers.
Reviewing energy efficiency projects, calculating energy savings, developing Measurement & Verification plans, presentation & customer engagement skills.
Knowledge of a variety of mechanical HVAC & process systems with an ability to identify energy efficiency opportunities.
Daily Job Responsibilities:
Performing custom project reviews for Energy Efficiency projects requesting incentives of > $25K. Reviews involve drafting a Measurement & Verification plan with the customer and identifying how to prove the savings. Some projects may require developing the savings calculations. All projects require interaction with the customer.
Performing Facility Assessments. High level energy assessments for large Commercial & Industrial customers. Need an understanding of lighting, HVAC & industrial process systems such that savings opportunities could be identified.
Required Skills/Experience:
Engineering degree with about 2-4+ years of experience in the Energy Efficiency field.
Knowledge of HVAC and Industrial systems is also required.
Develop and deliver innovative Energy Saving and Efficiency solutions for ComEd's commercial, industrial and institutional customers.
