Endoscopy Technician - Pride Health

Job Title: Endoscopy Technician

Location: Morristown, NJ 07960

Shift: Monday-Friday, 12pm-8pm - 40 hours weekly (Days)

Duration: 3 Months with possibility of extension.

Pay Range: $30/Hour.

Job Functions:

Performs various duties as a health team member in the treatment and care of patients and their families and assists with tasks to support the unit. Works under the supervision of the RN. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of human growth and development over the life span, ability to recognize data reflective of the patient status and inform the Registered Nurse of observations

Duties:

Takes and monitors vital signs when necessary

Performs EKG's

Assists with medical procedures as required

Assists with the placement of pulse oximetry

Performs routine maintenance/cleaning of equipment and instruments

Notifies appropriate personnel regarding any malfunction in equipment

Assists in inventory control for medical supplies.

Sets up oxygen and suction.

Collects specimen sand and brings it to the lab when necessary.

Stoc exam rooms including educational materials.

Retrieves Endoscopy reports from the computer system as needed.

Provides instruction and information to patients.

Acts rapidly and calmly during emergencies, initiates CPR, and provides the necessary items called for the team.

Transport patients and equipment as needed.

Performs any and all duties involving direct patient care as assigned by the RN within the framework of the New York State Nurse Practice Act and BIMC Policy and Procedures

Education:

High School Diploma
