Endoscopy Charge Capture & Inventory Analyst - Northside Hospital Inc.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the accurate and timely charge capture (review of charges entered by another party) for all procedures associated with facility activity in all Atlanta, Cherokee and Forsyth Endoscopy locations.  Using knowledge of different endoscopy procedures, able to ensure all supply, time and device charging is correct prior to charge processing and patient/insurance billing. 

 

Proposes procurement and storage solutions that will minimize supply expense while maintaining a high level of customer service. Collaborates with department leadership, Materials Management, and vendor representatives to limit the storage of excess inventory; identifies slow-moving inventory and recommends actions to address.

 

Skills required include medical terminology, strong customer service and problem solving.

Qualifications:

1. Associate degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or other health related degree and one year of related experience OR
2. High School diploma or equivalent and three years previous medical related experience.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Terminology
4. Demonstrated organizational and communication customer service skills
5. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in utilization of computer application
6. Demonstrated problem solving skills

PREFERRED: 

1. Previous experience in hospital medical office environment. Endoscopy preferred.
2. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the use of a computerized electronic health record EHR system and/or inventory management experience.
3. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with individuals in all levels of responsibility.
4. Ability to work independently.
