Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with clinical policies, procedures, systems, and applications
• Assist physicians throughout procedures, including pre- and post-procedure care
• Perform thorough nursing assessments of patients during procedures
• Administer conscious sedation and topical anesthetics under MD supervision
• Maintain expertise in all aspects of endoscopy procedures
• Educate patients on procedures and post-procedure care
• Accurately and promptly document patient care information
• Inventory and inspect supplies and equipment before and after procedures
• Stay updated on advancements in GI procedures and techniques
• Maintain comprehensive log books for procedures and biopsies
• Provide post-anesthesia care and facilitate patient discharge

Qualifications:

• Active RN or LPN license in Virginia
• 2+ years of RN experience preferred
• IV skills and conscious sedation experience a plus!
