Job Title: Encapsulation Operator
Location: Somerset, NJ
Hours / Schedule: Monday - Friday | 2nd shift, 3:00pm - 11:00pm | 3rd shift, 11:00pm - 7:00am 
Type: Direct hire

Responsibilities

• Set-Up associate is responsible for all assembly / disassembly, and cleaning of various encapsulation machines.

•  Responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.

• Complete working knowledge of the encapsulation process,

• Minimum of 1 year experience in related jobs (e.g., encapsulation, injection molding or other similar machine operations) and / or requires four to six months training and experience in this job under close supervision.

• Fluent English skills to read and understand written instructions, and other information; to maintain routine written records and to communicate problems effectively to supervisors 

• Accurate arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, division) to calculate shell and fill weights, and calculate the time a tank will run out of gel or medicine 

• Manual dexterity to manipulate controls, disassemble / assemble equipment using a variety of hand tools 

• Physical ability to stand / walk for much of the work shift, and push / pull / lift large containers weighing up to 50 pounds 

• Mechanical aptitude to trouble shoot and fix equipment malfunctions

Must Have

• 1 year GMP experience from Pharma or Vitamin / Nutraceuticals, Food, Chemical

• Experience troubleshooting equipment / changeovers

• Experience with Tableting 

• Experience with Hard Gelatin automatic encapsulation machine strongly desired
