PrideStaff has a great opportunity for an experienced Encapsulation Machine Operator to join our client's team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining encapsulation
machines, ensuring that production runs smoothly and meets quality standards. The
Encapsulation Machine Operator will work closely with production staff to ensure that
all orders are completed on time and to specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operate encapsulation machines and ensure that they are functioning properly
• Monitor and adjust machine settings as needed to ensure that production runs
smoothly and efficiently
• Perform routine maintenance on encapsulation machines, including cleaning and
lubrication
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during production runs
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that the work area is kept clean and
organized
• Document production data, including the number of units produced, production time,
and any issues encountered during production runs
• Work with production staff to ensure that all orders are completed on time and to
specifications
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to quality control
and safety
Technical encapsulation skills may vary depending on the specific type of
encapsulation machine and industry. However, here are some technical encapsulation
skills that could be important for an Encapsulation Machine Operator:
1. Understanding of encapsulation machine operation, including knowledge of the
machine's parts and functions.
2. Knowledge of filling methods and techniques used to fill capsules, such as
powder dosing, tablet filling, or liquid filling.
3. Ability to set up and configure the encapsulation machine for different products
or formulations, including adjusting the speed, filling weight, and other machine
parameters.
4. Understanding of the encapsulation process variables, such as humidity,
temperature, and pressure, and their effects on product quality.
5. Familiarity with different types of capsules, such as gelatin capsules, vegetarian
capsules, or enteric-coated capsules.
6. Ability to troubleshoot common encapsulation problems, such as capsule
bridging, separation, or capping.
7. Knowledge of quality control procedures, including sampling, testing, and
inspection of finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
8. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs), and other regulatory requirements related to encapsulation
operations.
9. Proficiency in using encapsulation machine software, monitoring tools, and other
technical equipment used to operate and control the machine.
10. Familiarity with cleaning and maintenance procedures for encapsulation
equipment, including disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of machine parts.
11. Prepare the encapsulation machine for operation by checking that all
components are in good condition and properly assembled.
12. Load empty capsule shells into the machine's hopper, making sure that they are
aligned and positioned correctly.
13. Load the material to be encapsulated into the machine's hopper, ensuring that
the material is properly screened and free from clumps or impurities.
14. Adjust the machine's settings to ensure that the desired fill weight, speed, and
other parameters are configured correctly.
15. Turn on the machine and begin the encapsulation process, monitoring the
process to ensure that capsules are filled correctly, and that the machine is
operating smoothly.
16. Monitor the machine's performance throughout the encapsulation process,
including the weight of the capsules and the rate of production.
17. Collect samples of the encapsulated product at regular intervals to test for
quality and consistency.
18. Conduct routine maintenance tasks on the machine, such as cleaning and
lubrication, to ensure that it operates efficiently and effectively.
19. Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the encapsulation process, such
as jams or machine malfunctions, and take corrective action as necessary.
20. Once the encapsulation process is complete, remove the finished capsules from
the machine and store them appropriately for packaging and shipment.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $23.00 Per Hour
