We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Employment Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be directly involved in handling complex employment litigation cases and making a significant impact on our clients' lives. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a heavy caseload of 40+ active litigation cases and offering expert legal advice in employment law matters. This role is ideal for a seasoned attorney with a passion for litigation, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding legal services.
Responsibilities:
1. Handle all aspects of employment litigation including, but not limited to, case strategy, drafting and reviewing pleadings, depositions, discovery, court appearances, trial preparation, and trial.
2. Effectively manage a caseload of 40+ active litigation cases, ensuring all cases are handled efficiently and all deadlines are met.
3. Provide expert legal advice to clients on a wide range of employment law issues such as wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and employee rights.
4. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and trial strategy.
5. Draft, review, and revise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
6. Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
7. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management.
8. Stay updated on changes in employment law and commercial litigation to provide accurate and timely advice to clients.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.
3. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in employment litigation, with a strong preference for candidates with 5+ years of experience.
4. Proven trial experience and a strong record of successful employment litigation.
5. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
6. Extensive knowledge of employment law and commercial litigation.
7. Ability to manage a large caseload and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
8. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes favorably for clients.
9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, judges, opposing counsel, and team members.
10. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
