Job Details
Houston Office of national law firm is seeking an Associate to join their labor & employment litigation team, with a specific emphasis on candidates who bring 3-6 years of experience to the table. Ideal applicants will have a solid track record in handling various aspects of employment defense litigation and providing counsel to clients regarding employment law issues. This includes, but is not limited to, drafting employee handbooks and employment policy development, and advising on non-compete agreements. Additionally, the role demands the ability to undertake comprehensive legal document drafting—such as memoranda, motions, and pleadings
Candidates should demonstrate not only superior writing capabilities and impressive academic qualifications but also the capacity to efficiently manage workloads both independently and in a team setting. Collaboration with a wide range of team members, including other attorneys, paralegals, and office staff, is crucial to this role.
This position is ideal for individuals looking for a friendly and supportive work environment that also offers hybrid work options. Being admitted to the Texas Bar is a requisite for this role, and the firm is prepared to assist with relocation for the appropriate candidate. Applicants are asked to submit a writing sample along with their transcript and resume. (All of this is not required for initial submissions). This opportunity is not only a chance to join a collaborative practice but also to further develop legal expertise in a collegial setting. 1850 billable hour requirement
