We are seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to join our dynamic and expanding team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned attorney with a proven track record in employment law. The successful candidate will provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of employment matters, including but not limited to, employment contracts, employee relations, workplace disputes, terminations, and employment policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive legal advice on all aspects of employment law, including but not limited to, employment contracts, employee relations, workplace disputes, terminations, and employment policies and procedures.
2. Ensure the organization is in compliance with all federal and state employment laws and regulations.
3. Represent the organization in legal proceedings, such as mediations, arbitrations, and court trials.
4. Draft, review, and revise employment contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure they are legally sound and in the best interest of the client.
5. Conduct legal research and analysis to stay abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations.
6. Provide training to HR and management on employment law issues to ensure compliance and minimize legal risk.
7. Collaborate with other members of the legal team and cross-functional teams on various projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a licensed attorney in good standing.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an employment attorney. Experience with Title IX is strongly preferred.
4. Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
5. Proven experience in managing a variety of employment law cases.
6. Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong legal research and analysis skills.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
9. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
10. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
11. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
12. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software.
