We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Employee Relations Specialist to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in Human Resources and Employee Relations, with expertise in managing workplace conflict resolution. This role requires a bilingual individual with fluency in both English and Spanish. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role and will be responsible for fostering a positive work environment, resolving employee issues, and promoting employee satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
1. Act as the primary point of contact for employees and managers for all employee relations issues including conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and policy interpretation and application.
2. Develop and implement employee relations policies to ensure a positive, ethical, and non-discriminatory workplace environment.
3. Investigate and resolve complex employee relations issues, acting as a mediator when necessary, and recommending appropriate resolution strategies.
4. Conduct regular training sessions on employee rights and responsibilities, company policies, and other HR-related topics.
5. Collaborate with HR teams to develop and implement HR strategies that promote a high-performance culture.
6. Provide guidance and advice to managers on performance management including performance improvement plans, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
7. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
8. Participate in the development of department goals, objectives, and systems that directly impact the overall success of the organization.
9. Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources with a focus on Employee Relations.
3. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
4. Proven experience in managing workplace conflict and implementing resolution strategies.
5. In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
6. Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
7. Proficiency in HRIS and related software for performance management and workforce analytics.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
9. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
10. Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Certified Professional (SPHR) designation is preferred.
