The Employee Relations Specialist will provide day-to-day consulting, mediation, facilitation, and guidance regarding employee relations issues across Toyo Tires. The perfect candidate will cover the night shift. If you are passionate about employee relations and have developed and implemented measures to increase employee morale, motivation, and satisfaction while reducing turnover, this is the right job for you!! You will conduct employee issues investigations and engagement surveys, work lifestyle programs, onboarding programs, diversity and inclusion programs and training, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
Employee Morale, Motivation, and Satisfaction Improvement
- Develop and implement measures to increase employee morale, motivation, and satisfaction, while reducing turnover
- May conduct employee engagement surveys, work lifestyle programs, on-boarding programs, diversity and inclusion programs and training, etc.
- Will conduct exit surveys
Coaching and Training
- Support coaching of managers and employees through the performance management process
- Support training sessions for managers to improve employee relations and people skills
Employee Relations Issues Monitoring
- Investigate employee and/or supervisor complaints regarding conduct, performance, or attendance and recommend course of action based on findings
- Majority of time will be spent on the floor interacting with employees and managers
- Mediate between employees
- Monitor diversity/equal employment opportunity program compliance
- Work with supervisors and managers to improve their knowledge and understanding of employment law and company policies as needed
- Monitor and improve employee communications and processes
- Assist HR with any tasks needed to gage and improve employee relations
- Assist HR with maintaining a Union-free status
Recruiting & Employment Systems:
- Assist with interviews and make recommendations in hiring decisions as needed
- Assist with security badges for new hires and terminations
- Participate in bi-weekly staffing meetings as needed
Administrative Systems:
- Track team member status change forms to ensure timeliness of actions.
- Assist with E-Time system and train users
- Maintain list of “at risk” employees for staffing meeting
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Human Resources or a related field
- At least 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year college or university or equivalent
- Minimum of three years HR and/or leadership experience working in an HR Generalist role or similar position
