As an Employee Relations Consultant, you will partner with and guide our people at all levels of the organization on how employee decisions intersect with our business. As the primary point of contact for employee relations to the divisions and teams you support, you will do this while being a cultural ambassador and ensuring alignment with our core values.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders and employees at multiple levels of the organization regarding inquiries or concerns and help them understand processes and policies, along with explaining in each situation the importance of aligning to fair practices, our culture and core values
- Provide consultation to leaders and employees on ways to enhance the overall experience, manage concerns and connect to resources and tools throughout the organization
- Own and implement key cultural and employee relations initiatives to divisions and teams Advise leaders on employee coaching efforts and work together to identify opportunities and resources to assist in meeting role expectations
- Drive resolution of concerns or conflicts by working with all individuals involved to create recommendations on the best course of action that will positively impact the situation
- Maintain awareness of other department initiatives in order to collaborate strategically to deliver optimal solutions to divisions and teams
- Engage actively in multiple aspects of the business in order to stay abreast of trends and activities in order to provide proactive guidance on opportunities
- Develop and present training content as needed
- Coordinate termination processes and conduct exit interviews with all departing employees of assigned locations
- Serve as subject matter expert in employment law and company policy to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and divisional alignment
- Act as liaison between department leaders and legal representatives during investigations, legal action, hearings, etc.
- Partner with each location to investigate and resolve employee issues and legal concerns
- Research and respond to unemployment claims and partner with divisions to participate in necessary hearings
- Gather and analyze data for audit or compliance needs
Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of direct experience in human resources and employee relations
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience leading projects and working exceptionally well both independently and with teams
- Understanding of resources needed to assist in audit or compliance needs as assigned
- Ability to foster and build relationships with sales teams, business partners, and in their own department that are collaborative and lead to effective problem solving
- Maintain basic understanding of state and federal employment law and its implications on HR processes
- Utilize strong understanding of business needs and culture to assist in resolutions
- Seek multiple perspectives and input on situations and act proactively with assigned clients
- Comfortable and confident using HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Esp. Word and Excel)
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Ability to effectively manage issues at multi-state locations
- Ability to train and present to large groups
- Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and multi-task
- Highly organized and self-motivated with ability to manage assigned tasks and activities
- Ability to travel as required
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $64,900 -- $176,000 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. During the hiring process, your recruiter can provide more information about the specific salary range for the job location.
CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
