Job Description
As an Employee Communications Specialist, you’ll be responsible for supporting the planning, development, and delivery of enterprise communications at Best Buy. You will be responsible for effective and creative communication through content gathering, key message development and deadline management – all to shape the internal story for the company and ensure Best Buy employees understand and embrace the company strategy and culture. In this role, you will primarily support our customer experience and enterprise services team, which includes operational and customer strategies for our retail, sales, services (Geek Squad), customer care and Best Buy Business organizations.
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. What you’ll do
- Work cross-functionally with business partners daily to write, edit and publish internal communications, helping to translate complex operational information and high-level business strategies into concise, easy to understand messages
- Ensure timely publication of content across a variety of internal communications channels and platforms
- Collaborate with communications team members and business partners to recommend an approach for communicating to and for all levels of the company.
- Ability to learn and understand our company strategy and specific business unit strategy, primarily customer experience and enterprise services strategy and priorities.
- Recommend changes to our content and communications strategy and partners with leaders to implement continuous improvement as needed
Basic qualifications
- 1 year of experience in Communications, PR or related field
- 1 year of developing and implementing strategic communication plans
- 1 year of writing, creating and publishing content across a variety of formats, platforms and tools
Preferred qualifications
- Effective communicator; proficient in written and verbal communication
- Ability to quickly learn to use new content management and publishing tools
- Ability to effectively operationalize team processes
- Experience working with and influencing cross-functional partners.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities at a time
