Job Details
The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for providing outstanding service to personal insurance clients by managing their policies, addressing inquiries, and ensuring their coverage meets their evolving needs. This role involves policy servicing, cross-selling, renewal reviews, and collaborating with insurance carriers to ensure smooth and efficient handling of accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management: Manage a portfolio of personal lines clients, handling all aspects of their insurance needs including policy changes, renewals, claims, and billing inquiries.
Client Service: Provide personalized service by responding to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner, offering solutions, and ensuring clients have a clear understanding of their coverage options.
Policy Reviews and Renewals: Conduct annual policy reviews with clients, recommending coverage changes based on their personal needs and market trends. Ensure timely processing of renewals.
Claims Assistance: Serve as a point of contact for clients during the claims process, guiding them through filing, follow-up, and resolving any issues with carriers.
Cross-Selling and Upselling: Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional insurance products (e.g., homeowners, auto, renters, umbrella policies) to existing clients and recommend policy upgrades as appropriate.
Carrier Relations: Work with multiple insurance carriers to quote new business, bind policies, and negotiate renewals on behalf of clients, ensuring the best terms and rates.
Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all client files are up to date, accurate, and comply with industry regulations. Maintain detailed notes and track all client interactions.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with producers and other account managers to provide seamless service to clients. Assist with training or mentoring new team members as needed.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve any client concerns or disputes related to policy issues, claims, or billing discrepancies.
Qualifications:
Licensed in Property & Casualty Insurance (required).
Previous experience in personal lines insurance or related field.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with insurance management software and Microsoft Office.
