Emergency Services Clinician
Emergency Services Clinician (LMHP or LMHP-R) needed in Lynchburg, VA.
Our client is a longstanding behavioral health organization that has been serving Central Virginia for over 50 years. They are seeking Emergency Services Clinicians (full-time) and are offering a $10,000 sign on bonus, a stipend that is 20% of your base salary and paid on each check, along with free clinical supervision hours for resident counselors, PTO, health benefits, student loan repayment, and a host of other benefits listed below.

Salary and Benefits:
- Base salary range: $51,448.00 to $91,371.00 (depending on years of experience and licensure status)
- Bonus Stipend: Additional 20% of the base salary, paid on each check.
- $10,000 sign on bonus.
- For LMHP-R candidates, our client offers free clinical supervision hours needed to obtain full licensure.
- Student loan forgiveness: Role qualifies for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program and the Behavioral Health State Loan Repayment program.

Requirements:
- Must have completed a 60-credit Master’s Degree (with 600 completed intern hours) in relevant Human Service field (Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology)
- LMHP or LMHP-R
- No Virginia Barrier Crimes on Record. See the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) for list of VA Barrier Crimes.
Responsibilities:
- 37.5 Hour workweek – most clinicians work 3 x 12.5 hour shifts per week
- Rotating on-call (limited) any on-call shifts a clinician picks up receives $10/hr for being available by phone, and if you are called to an emergency, your standard hourly pay kicks in, in addition to the extra $10 on top of your hourly rate.
- First response clinician to emergencies within the Emergency Department at Lynchburg General Hospital.
- Conduct Screening Assessments to refer each client in crisis to an appropriate level of care (ranging from community outpatient services to inpatient psychiatric hospital admissions)
- Address and evaluate psychiatric and substance abuse emergencies with patients of all ages
- Complete 2 to 5 months of supervised on-job training and classroom training, in addition to obtaining Certified Pre-Screener status with the State of Virginia (provided and paid for by employer)
- Case by case: follow up appointments with clients in crisis until they are referred to other providers within the community
- Most calls will be taken in the Emergency Department, however some clients may be walk-ins to the outpatient clinic that are in crisis.
- Collaborate with a team of 13 other Emergency Response clinicians
