Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable EMT to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. In this role, you will be responsible for performing in-home patient assessments, delivering emergency medical care, conducting various home tests, and providing patient monitoring. You will be required to travel to patient locations throughout Staten Island, Nassau and Suffolk counties, so a valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential. This is a flexible, on-demand position that allows you to make a direct impact on patient care in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients in home settings
- Conduct home testing, assessments, and patient monitoring as required
- Ensure the delivery of compassionate, personalized care tailored to each patient’s needs
- Travel to patient locations across Nassau and Suffolk counties
- Maintain accurate records and reports of services provided
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Requirements:
- Current EMT certification
- Valid NY State Driver's License
- Reliable vehicle and ability to travel locally
- Ability to work independently and manage patient care in home settings
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
