Solaria Labs, Liberty Mutual’s innovation incubator, is a cross-functional team that partners with teams from across the company to stay on the forefront of disruption. We incubate new products, services and experiences to better serve our customers, partners and communities today and in the future.
This role will sit within the personal lines incubation team and will enable multiple venture & experiments through high-quality marketing delivery. For example, you’ll work on Liberty+, a home maintenance website focused on helping customers mitigate risk in their homes. You’ll work with a variety of stakeholders to execute on email marketing campaigns. You’ll have the opportunity to be creative, think strategically and make your mark on the product and team. This role is integrated into a fast-paced cross-functional team of designers, marketers, engineers, researchers and beyond and you’ll have the unique experience of a small business in the midst of a Fortune 100 company.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the email marketing development and delivery for our personal lines ventures. This takes the form of millions of emails annually, ranging from small-scale, experimental sends to large-scale efforts.
- Acting as a product owner for a squad of analysts and developers responsible for coding, automating and deploying emails as well as complex list pulls via policyholder databases.
- Articulating marketing requirement to the squad and working daily with them to make decisions, remove roadblocks, drive communication, and support alignment around product strategy.
- Owning a product backlog, including its contents, prioritization, and acceptance criteria.
- Contributing to business goals and priorities while working with stakeholders and squad/team to remove roadblocks to execution.
- Setting priorities and roadmaps for squad and stakeholders. Managing stakeholder delivery expectations.
- Ability to work EST.
The actual internal level/grade for this role will depend on the candidate’s overall experience and skill level:
- Product Owner I: $106,900- $171,100. Annual FTO days (Flexible Time Off): 20
- Product Owner II: $121,300 - $192,700. Annual FTO days (Flexible Time Off): 20
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and IT project management as typically acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (business, computer science, humanities etc.) and a minimum of 3 to 5 years direct experience with large scale email delivery campaigns, agile teams, as well as 7 years in business, technology, or consulting.
- Strong experimental mindset to drive innovation amongst uncertainty.
- Able to make difficult and quick decisions daily.
- Able to depict and explain the importance of complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences; educate SBU/department(s) on business vision and plan and the impact of change.
- Able to influence a diverse group of stakeholders; strong leadership skills.
- Strong problem solver with demonstrated ability to lead a team to push the solutions and progress.
- Experience in the insurance industry preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant products and portfolio preferred.
