Job Description:
As a member of the Eligibility & Engagement Business Team, this position's primary focus will be to facilitate and document working sessions between internal and/or external customers and Information Technology Teams (IT) and to define and document business requirements for the BenePath products’ configuration and change requests needed to meet customer and operation objectives. The analyst must be able to communicate and document requirements and product materials in a clear and concise manner so that the development team can easily translate into functional requirements. The analyst must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and may assist in training, scheduling and distributing work to other staff members, team members and clients. The business analyst must be able to easily exercise judgment, creativity, and advanced technical skills in selecting and applying procedures correctly and determine when to refer problems to the next level of support. Assist in reporting of various tasks and deliverables to account managers and stakeholders via reports, presentations and/or meetings is also part of the role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collects data from internal and external customers relating systems and reporting issues impacting service delivery.
- Writes detailed business and at times functional requirements documents of the operational and/or system changes, ensuring requirements and proposed solutions meet business/customer needs.
- Compiles cost assessment data for projects, and the integration of various project suppliers and vendors.
- Analyzes and recommends requirement changes or improvements to service levels, production, staffing, volume, policies and procedures, user-based systems, financial, audit, compliance, quality, and urgent operations problem resolution.
- Prepares business operations reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing Service Level and Operating Metrics data and trends; develops recommendations where applicable.
- Develops solid, well-rounded knowledge of a business organization, operating processes, user-based systems, and any governing policies and regulations over such programs.
- Coordinates and participates in UAT for both the Self-Service Portal product and client portal development.
- Develop materials and assist in client training.
- Become a subject matter expert in the state programs the Self-Service Portal supports.
Education, Skills and Qualifications:
- B.S. in Business Administration, English, Information Management System, Finance and Accounting, Government, or equivalent degree.
- Minimum of 3+ years or relevant experience working in business process documentation, Help Desk setting, customer service environment and supporting IT business processes, planning, scheduling, and managing budgets.
- Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and high motivation.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Project, Visio, Outlook and One drive.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with internal and external parties.
- Must work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have the ability to handle and organize multiple projects and deadlines.
- Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, SNAP, TANF and other such government programs is a plus.
- Knowledge of a variety of hardware, software, programming languages and platforms, and operating systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of latest IT terminologies, technologies and software development methodologies is a plus.
