What to Expect:
The Electronics Technician’s main function is to support electrical and manufacturing engineering to help develop a zero-defect environment in manufacturing. This position will develop prototype printed circuit board assemblies and perform product testing and troubleshooting. The Electronics Technician works collaboratively with other departments to help build the best product possible.
What You’ll Do:
- Work on the next generation of products being designed by i2Systems.
- Responsible for testing and troubleshooting electronics circuit boards, able to troubleshoot and find root cause to the component level.
- Manage prototype material stock.
- Maintain an active role with internal continuous improvement teams.
- Maintain a safe work area.
- Wear required PPE and follow all safety processes and procedures.
What You’ll Bring:
- Electronic training or relevant high tech industry experience.
- Experience with both analog and digital circuitry and the ability to read and draw schematics.
- Knowledge of PC board level components.
- Proficient in soldering with mixed technology circuit boards including through-hole and SMT component types.
- Able to use electronic troubleshooting equipment including oscilloscopes, digital logic analyzers, function generators and DMMs.
- Able to analyze and interpret test information to resolve issues.
- Familiarity with LED systems a plus.
- Computer literate with MS Office applications.
- Experience in product development and technical writing.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to multitask with a commitment to quality.
Salary
24 - 27 /hour
