Electronics Systems Maintenance Technician - FIBERTEK, INC.

Fibertek is seeking a highly skilled technician to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. As the Electronics System Maintenance Technician, you will serve as a highly experienced technician capable of resolving complex system failures, developing preventive maintenance programs, training less experienced technicians, identifying systemic failures, and conducting root cause analysis in collaboration with engineering. Duties and responsibilities include:

• Managing deliberate program of developing junior technicians.
• Providing oversight to ensure support equipment (test measurement and diagnostic equipment etc.) is regularly calibrated and maintained by all field sites, troubleshooting and repairing systems, and performing software updates.
• Install, modify, wire, fabricate and maintain systems.
• Distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems.

Experience and expertise required:

• 10 years total experience with the testing of electronic equipment.  Eight years’ experience in the testing and troubleshooting of electronic subsystem installations in military systems.
• Four additional years of experience can be substituted for BA/BS degree requirement.
• Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint and MS Project required. 
• US citizenship is required. 
• Active DoD clearance is required. 
• Experience dealing with military logistics preferred.
• Experience/ Knowledge of Position/Navigation and Timing equipment preferred but not required.
• General office environment, some lifting and/or moving up to 25lbs required. 
• Travel (CONUS) required.
