Electronics Service Technician - AKKODIS

Akkodis is searching for an Onsite - Electronics Service Technician to support repairing of “about” 15-20 types of mechanical, electrical/electronic, optical, and/or computer assembly products. Products include weather sensors, sensor displays, and sensor controllers from customers throughout the country.

Location: Natomas, CA
Type: Contract to Hire / Direct hire
Schedule: Mon – Fri, Full time, Eligible for overtime (OT)
PayRate: 25/hrly – 30/hrly
Travel: No Travel for this position

Day to Day Overview:
The customer sends equipment when components fail in field, the equipment is repaired in our factory, and shipped back to the customer.

Repairs range from simple cleaning and testing to complex component-level troubleshooting. Computers are repaired to the board level, while sensors and microprocessor-controlled sensor controllers are repaired to the component level.

Responsibilities not limited to:

·       Repairing and configuring products: replacing components on a PCB, integrating sensors into a system, and integrating systems into a national network

·       Assisting customers, both internal and external, in isolating defects in the field or in-house by troubleshooting over the phone

·       Providing, as well as coordinating, in-house warranty and non-warranty repair services

·       Tracking and monitoring in-house repairs. 

·       Exhibits a sense of urgency, efficiency, can prioritize job-tasks and customer focus with a great amount of attention to detail

·       Provides phone support for field technicians and the customer base

·       Managing accurate inventory level.

Minimum Qualifications:

·       Two (2) to four (4) years related experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems at the component level

·       Ability to read and interpret electrical and wiring schematics, drawings, diagrams, specifications, work orders, material requirements and assembly instructions.

·       Demonstrated technical configuration knowledge of Linux and Networking, and familiarity with Windows, and Microsoft Office Suite

·       Self-driven, motivated learner that asks questions and seeks information

Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
