Electronics & Lethality Hardware Sensors Engineer

Position Description:
This role involves providing Electrical Engineering Design and Integration services for Electro-Optic products used in military vehicles. Responsibilities include concept development, design, Design Verification Testing (DVT), procurement support, prototype build and test, qualification testing, fielding, and customer support. The hardware includes Gunner's and Commander's sights, control panels, vision systems, and circuit card assemblies.
- Design subsystems and components to meet performance and safety requirements.
- Support circuit design and conduct component selection and analysis.
- Review and develop hardware and software requirement documents and test plans.
- Provide support to prototype and production vehicle builds and lead redesign activities.
- Maintain strong record-keeping skills for tracking design changes and revisions.
- Develop and present design concepts and program status to management.
- Perform testing and evaluation of Electro-Optical components.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience, or fewer years with an advanced degree.
- Proficiency in Engineering Development and Test Tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to travel to supplier and government sites (Approx 5%).
- Knowledge in areas such as IPC and MIL standards, digital and analog circuit design, gyroscopes, encoders, cameras, and model-based motion control.
- Experience with test equipment and engineering design software.
- Desired skills include MATLAB, MATHCAD, and Mentor Graphics Schematic Capture.
- Experience with microprocessor-based products and microcontrollers.
- Familiarity with industry interface standards and serial interconnects.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC design practices and standards.
- Proficiency in C, C#, VisualStudio Suite, and optical hardware testing.
