Job Description:
The Energy Systems Technician is responsible for overseeing electrical maintenance of the Shippensburg facility, including packaging processing, warehouse, wastewater treatment, PDC and building and grounds. He/she is responsible for electrical training of maintenance technicians and supports design and implementation of plant projects.
What you’ll do:
1.Work with Leaders and fellow partners to ensure Food Safety and Partner Safety. Understand and execute standard operating procedures relative to position. Perform all PCP and CCP checks required for position. Follow reaction plan for Food Safety, Food Quality and customer requirement outages and by contacting TA/TL. Be able to identify and understand customer requirements and assist in assuring proper operation and product. Record accurate data on production reports.
2. Perform corrective, preventative, project emergency electrical/electronic and mechanical maintenance on plant equipment support and utility systems.
3. Perform modifications, component replacements, troubleshooting, calibration adjustments, performance checks on plant equipment.
4. Perform PLC programming and/or SCADA programming and maintenance
5. Assure electrical equipment and installations meet OSHA and NEC requirements.
6. Perform projects as assigned including planning, purchasing of materials, modifications and major overhauls of equipment
7. Work with Production, Maintenance and leadership teams to improve plant productivity and efficiency.
8. Monitor critical equipment as outlined in maintenance procedures
9. Other duties assigned by leadership
Physical Demands:
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Climb stairs up to 8’
• Able to twist, stoop, bend and reach with repetitive motion
• Good eyesight, depth perception and peripheral vision
• Use both hands in order to maintain machines
What you need to succeed:
High School Diploma/G.E.D.
Manufacturing Experience
1-2 years Production in Food Services
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed reports. Must be able to write and verbally communicate process procedures. Ability to write and read messages utilizing various methods such as electronic mail.
- Safely and responsibly operate/process any material handling equipment
- Good interaction and communication skills
- Data entry and ability to use inventory management software
- Basic math skills and logic
- Maintain valid drivers license
- Required to be trained or experienced as a mechanic
- Proficiency in reading and comprehension of the English language required
Shifts Available:
12 hour rotating 2-2-3 schedule
