ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN -PRETEST M-F
7 am - 3:30 pm
Effective w/e 11/25 all new starts for Boonton will havea 30% increase
to their base pay to cover s compensation package. Pleaseinform the contractor that they will lose their 30% increase at conversion butwill gain their benefits, including PTO and Holiday pay.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Apply electronic theory, principles of electricalcircuits, electrical testing procedures, engineering, mathematics, and relatedprocedures to test, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate digital and analogelectronic circuit boards to the component level. May work with sales anddesign engineering to resolve technical problems. May set up standard testapparatus and run environmental tests. Analyzes and interprets test data.Adjusts, calibrates, aligns, and may modify circuitry and components. May writetechnical reports and test procedures. Communicates with internal and externalcustomers. Reports to Production Supervisor.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Confirms correct operation of digital and analogelectronic circuit boards.
Performs fault isolation function and repair items oncefault is isolated.
Drafts and maintains test procedures and testdocumentation as required.
Follows approved board level test procedures and ensurescorrect equipment operation for a full range of self-manufactured and purchasedproduct.
Participates in Source Inspections.
May perform other tasks as assigned by Supervision.
Occasional overtime will be required.
EDUCATION/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of two-year degree in electronic technology orequivalent work experience; BSEE or BSCET preferred.
Must have strong skill set in digital and analogtechnology.
Must be an independent worker with good communication andorganization skills.
Two years testing of digital and analog electronicsequipment in a production environment helpful.
Ethernet level networking experience a plus.
