Seeking a candidate that has previous experience operating machines such as Select Solder, Wave Solder, SMT, Wash. That has experience with equipment brands such as Vitronics and Pillar House
Candidate will be primarily responsible for operating and maintaining machine(s) to perform select solder, wave solder, surface mount, and/or wash for circuit board assembly.
Description:
Performs selective solder of printed circuit boards. Has thorough understanding of the soldering process and the Selective Solder equipment used. Able to make good judgments concerning quality of solder joints. Evaluates results of Selective Soldering process to ensure process control. Ensures compliance to any machine maintenance requirements and Solutions' Selective Solder procedures. Understands safety issues related to soldering and machine operation. Able to perform repetitive assembly tasks with accuracy and dexterity. Able to read and understand engineering documentation. May be required to operate Wash machine for PCBs.

Responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for operating and maintaining machine(s) to perform select solder, wave solder, surface mount, and/or wash for circuit board assemblies.
- Reports to designated work area prior to the start of shift. Organizes workload, and prepares for the start of the shift.
- Reviews engineering documentation for any special requirements.
- Performs tasks as directed by the Production Manager.
- Performs Selective Soldering to IPC-610 workmanship criteria.
- Ability to operate selective solder equipment.
- Ability to provide routine maintenance to equipment to obtain optimal results.
- Interfaces with managers and peers to resolve issues.
- Interfaces with Production Manager and Quality Assurance Manager for resolution of Quality issues.
- Works accurately and timely.
- Ensures that work area is kept clean and that safety rules are followed.
- Participates in company or special training classes with emphasis on employee improvement.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Skills:
- Experience operating the Wash Machine (for PCBs) is preferred but can train. Previous experience with Vitronics / Pillar House is a major bonus!
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with soldering electronics is HIGHLY preferred.
- Nonessential skills and experience:
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485
- Utilizing AOI machine, as applicable
- Operating Universal SMT machines

Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
- Must be able to operate SMT, Select Solder, and/or Wave Solder machinery. Setting up, programming, and operating the Select Solder machine
- Must be able to read and interpret industry standards, engineering drawings and specifications
- Must have good computer skills and ability to learn new software/programs
- Working knowledge of soldering, PCB assembly, component orientation
- Strong computer application knowledge
- Ability to determine critical points of assembly
- Ability to identify good and bad solder joints
- Ability to perform machine maintenance
- Ability to perform simple machine programs
- Essential skills and experience:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of IPC 610 and J-STD001 workmanship criteria
- Ability to gather and analyze information
- Ability to learn through shadowing and following documented procedures
- Ability to work standing for long periods of time
- Must be comfortable working around HOT machinery
- Must follow safety rules and operate equipment safely
- Basic computer proficiency: ability to learn and use ERP system and related programs for machines
